Nana's Famous Meat Loaf

Ingredients

  • ground beef & pork mix (1 package) - approx. 1.38lb
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 packs Lipton ("recipe secrets") onion dry soup mix
  • ketchup
  • five pieces of bread
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup milk or cream (amount depends on the size of your soaking container)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
Instructions
  1. crack two eggs into the pot or container where you will be mixing all of your ingredients.
  2. whisk eggs
  3. add all meat
  4. add 1 1/2 packs of onion soup mix
  5. add 1/2 - 2/3 of a cup of ketchup 
  6. add 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  7. in a separate container, start soaking five pieces of bread in your milk or cream
  8. after a few minutes of soaking, squish bread and milk mixture w/ hands
  9. squeegie milk & bread mixture with hands to drain milk from bread and put squeegied bread into the meat mix container
  10. blend all ingredients with hands
  11. butter a pan (glass preferably, like a brownie pan)
  12. put meat loaf mixture into the buttered pan, flattening it out.
  13. mix 1 cup of ketchup with 2/3 cup brown sugar in a separate container - let it soak for 10 minutes, mixing periodically.
  14. spread this ketchup - brown sugar topping onto the meat loaf
  15. place in oven on 350 degrees for an hour
